Course Description
This course is for Linux and/or UNIX systems administrators who want to build their skills at configuring common network services and security administration using Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

Target Audience
Linux or UNIX system administrators who already have some real work experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems
administration and want a first course in networking services and security.

Duration
40 hours(4 hours x 10 days)

Upon Successful Completion
The delegate will be a system administrator who can set up a Red Hat Enterprise Linux sever and configure common network services and security at a basic level.

Super service daemon Xinetd & TCP Wrappers

3. Shell Services
Telnet & OpenSSH service management

4. Organising Networked Systems
DNS service with BIND & DHCP service management

5. File Sharing Services
Network File System (NFS), Samba & FTP services management

6. HTTP Services
Apache http service management

7. E-mail Services
Sendmail, Postfix, Procmail services, mail lists & webmail applications

8. Authentication Services
User authentication methods & NIS service management

9. Firewall Services
Iptables service management & writing firewall rules

10. Directory Services
LDAP service management
